This is not the first time this has happened, just the first time it has come to the press’s attention. People are dying in out of area beds. Some are frail older people with dementia, placed 100 to 200 miles away from their home, and its being covered up. Imagine having a heart attack, or stroke and being told ; ‘ there are no beds locally, so you will have to wait until we find a bed somewhere, we don’t know where, but it could be anywhere in the UK.’ It’s a national disgrace………that’s being allowed to continue, with no end in site. Everyone seems to duck the questions, and some MP’s remain strangely silent. Thank goodness one or two have the human decency to question this abhorrent shunting of people all over the UK like cattle.
